I’ve always thought that was because the loan car wasn’t linked to your account to pay for charging but I have noticed today that the loan car that I am currently driving now appears in my app and is linked to my account. Haven’t tried supercharging it though.
I assumed you did in the past because all the loaner cars were old ones that had unlimited supercharging anyway. If the loaner fleet starts getting newer I imagine it won't be free anymore.

Yes, I charged 5 mins in Manchester service centre, nothing charged until now, it’s seem the car still in service mode in a short period of time , just like the temporary pin to drive , i knew this from some tesla driver in US
Early Model 3 deliveries would not switch to paid supercharging for quite some time. Many reported first days use free, which was my experience too, although we did also have free supercharger miles too, but they were accounted for as a zero invoice where as initial ones did not show at all.
When they give you the ‘one time pin’ to collect your car, write it down and start the car with the app then move to the supercharger. I did that last year and had a full charge that doesn’t exist. Then use their pin to ‘hand the car’ back to yourself.
