Downloaded the holiday update with steam and there is an update inside the steam app

So downloaded the 2022.44.25.5 and even though I was not expecting it but I got steam as well. Now if I go in the steam app it work but in the settings it is saying there is a software update which was released today at 4:48 PM EST it is 5:08 PM now and I am wondering if I should hit the update or will that mess up the app as the app thinks it is a steam deck.

Someone familiar with steam and the deck told me to expect updates to the steam app on your car regularly.

agreed - v common to expect steam specific updates within steam (i tend to see shader updates all the time too)
