Drive disabled for software update

This is the message I got with my 2015 model S this morning when I wanted to use the car. I didnt initiate a software update and its now been like this for 2 hours. Im still on the original mmc. Pressing the two scrolls has no affect. Ive had the screen go black a few times requiring the reboot. Anyone seen this? Any other procedure to fix?

It may be related to the SD card in the MCU . Please call Tesla. It has been happening in the US . Which sw version are you in? Did you upgrade the MCU?Try the 2 thumbwheel reset - not sure if this will work.

The drive is disabled when the software is being updated: That is expected. What is abnormal is you didn't initiate the update and it's not working after 2 hours.

Sounds like it's time for a new eMMC.

I have seen this issue resolved by isolating the 12V Battery to ensure the car is unpowered etc..
However probably easier to contact Tesla Support if your keen on pulling apart the Frunk etc..

I tried Factory Reset. Whilst this was happening I was aware of a new software update improved regen & maps. I havent seen a new upgrade for a year or two. I now have drivability but have lost my lifetime energy consumption & driver settings.
