Driver seat cable sticking out

I recently purchased a 22 M3 LR and noticed this cable sticking out from underneath the right side of the driver's seat (same cable on the passenger seat is not sticking out).

The cable is fixed in place and can't be adjusted.

What is it and is it normal for it to stick out like that?

I contacted Tesla Service and they noted another M3 with the same issue so I scheduled a Mobile visit for this morning.

The tech reattached the wayward cable to a hook under the seat and now no more cable sticking out waiting to be snagged by something.

The bigger issue he helped resolve was I couldn't even move the car from my garage because the vehicle wouldn't recognize my phone key and kept on prompting me to swipe my key card.

He removed the phone key, did a hard reset of the vehicle by disconnecting the low voltage battery, then re-added my phone as a key.

Hopefully, that resolves my finicky phone key.
