Video of Elon Musk showing some of Tesla management the inner workings of 17" touch screen. They (without Elon I believe) take the Model S on the outside track in the RAIN and hit speeds of over 80 mph. Well worth seeing.

Nice. Steve Jurvetson has been a pretty good chronicler of Tesla from the top.

Note they said there were only three of them.

They also said, "this isn't even the Sport, is it?"

I think the guy driving is Steve Jurvetson (venture capitalist) and the guy in the back seat is Deepak Ahuja (CFO). Any idea who the guy riding shotgun is? I didn't hear his name or see his face.

Steve has said (and Elon reiterated at the LA premiere) that he's getting first Model S. Not sure which first that is, though.

Well his plate is like TSLA S1 or something like that.
The old story of whipping out the checkbook at the board-meeting when they decided to start taking deposits.

Did anyone else think that the right hand wiper looked like it was 'dropping' all of the water in the drivers line of site (until the left wiper wiped it up)?

    Seemed pretty distracting.

Maybe I'm just getting used to the roadsters cyclops wiper!

yes, that is required in California. When it is raining your headlights must be on.

It's not Peter Carlsson, I met him at the event and he's younger and Swedish; that's a Brit but also a Peter: Peter Rawlinson.

Oh it looks like they deleted the original, then re-posted it...

    Maybe edited it?

Very nice video! That's the first video I think where all the windows are closed so you can get some idea of how quiet the ride is. It's unfortunate that it was raining because I think that was the source of most of the noise. Awesome! Looking forward to a quiet commute!

Actually I thought it was fortunate. We got to see the wipers working and got some sense that it handles OK in the rain.
We haven't had much rain here in a while, so it was just random that he happened to be there on one of the few rainy days recently.
