Dryer buddy trouble

I just bought a used dryer buddy from eBay and when I plug it in, it emits a buzzing noise. It is first quiet, then gets progressively louder as it stays plugged in... It still functions... Is it a normal operation, or is something broken?

Alex, this is Brad from BSA Electronics. The Dryer Buddy is a 2-way splitter and wouldn't hum (no moving parts inside), you must have bought a used Dryer Buddy Plus AUTO from eBay as we don't sell the advanced units on eBay (Dryer Buddy PLUS and Dryer Buddy Plus AUTO) The Dryer Buddy Plus AUTO does have a heavy duty commercial contactor inside that can hum. Shoot me an email and I can help you out; BSA Electronics
