Just came across this ad for the Electra Meccanica Solo.

It's a single passenger three wheel car with a range of about 100 miles. Company seems to be in British Columbia. Cost about $20,000.
Interesting in that they seem to be targeting Model 3 reservation holders with an "Apply your receipt" as a deposit. (Delivery in early 2018.

More likely targeting Elio reservation holders. No way a single occupant trike with 100 mile range competes with a 5-seater sedan with 200+ mile range.

Looks like the Solo may be making some progress in getting ready to be marketed:

Seems a lot more real than an Elio for those looking for a trike. Plus, it's an EV.

Maker of single-passenger electric car files for $10 million public offering

Electra Meccanica, a Canadian company gearing up production of a single-seat car that looks like it's missing its back half, is about to go public.

The company announced Wednesday that it will list a $10 million public offering on the NASDAQ. Shares will be sold starting Thursday under the tickers "SOLO" (for common shares) and "SOLOW" (for warrants). The ticker symbols are a reference to the vehicle it produces -- the "Solo."

I spotted a Solo plugged in at a local ChargePoint station a couple weeks ago. I've walked by Electra Meccanica's office in Vancouver and seen their car there before, but this is the first one I've seen in the wild:
