Elon - Please build Ventilators - Now!

Hi Elon - if there is one person on this planet who could make this happen at a speed nobody else could even contemplate - it is your good self and your companies.

Your point about panic being worse than the disease itself is not entirely wrong, but irrespective many many people will die due to under-prepared and increasingly overwhelmed health services across the world.

Make a difference please.

...irrespective many many people will die due to under-prepared and increasingly overwhelmed health services across the world...

More importantly, if healthcare workers are infected and can't work, then the ventilators won't save us.

What more important is Personal Protection Equipment: hazmat suits, masks, gowns, gloves, hood, goggles...

If we will need that many ventilators, it's time to think about if anyone has the talent to build a 1,000-be hospital and staff it in 10 days as China did.

Actually they can use the college campuses.

That's a great idea to use existing spaces for medical purposes.

The advantage of building a hospital is: Unlike Tesla Bioweapon Defense Mode that creates positive pressure inside the cabin, isolation rooms in a hospital reverses the flow and creates a negative airflow into the room to make sure the germs are not pushed out of the room and contaminate the outside.

Here's a picture of the isolation unit that even has a decontamination chamber in the 10-day built hospital:

Covid-19 can live on inanimate objects so they are decontaminated in this chamber before taken out of the room.

Picture from: Built in 10 days, China's virus hospital takes 1st patients

That's the problem with Non-medical structures such as college dorms, cruise ships... because don't believe in building the negative airflow principle to keep the germs from escaping to the outside!

They don't believe in building decontamination rooms either!

That depends on the design of the HVAC system. Generally, if they have relief, outside air and return dampers plus variable frequency drives on both the supply and return fans, they can do negative pressure, positive pressure, 100% air exchange, etc. Many commercial HVAC systems can be configured to operate in this manner and I suspect cruise ships can, too.

...That depends on the design of the HVAC system...

No doubt!

Reversible airflow costs more. It's designed to either keep the germs outside of the room such as in positive pressure in Tesla Bioweapon Defense Mode to protect those who don't have a good immune system and its airflow can also be reversed to create a negative airflow where the air outside of the room is pulled into the room and keep the germs from getting outside if it's used for a contagious patient.

Medical grade reversible airflow HVAC system costs more so it's doubtful cruise ships and other non-medical building would be willing to pay the extra cost.

Could Purchase a license from Hamilton Medical located in Reno, NV . If they won't sell get el Pres to 'appropriate' wielding the war measures act big stick.
GJ could get production going quickly churning out massive amts.

These ships run ~$1.35B, I'm pretty sure they have some advanced HVAC and or could easily modify them.

If by talent you mean no labor laws, building codes, safety or environmental regulations, then yes China has a lot of talent.

Nurses and Doctors in the US who are taking care of the Covid-19 patients are burned out due to long hours (12 hours or more) but the most disheartening factor is the complaint of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) shortage like basic gloves and masks...

‘The CDC actually said to use scarves and bandanas if we are out of masks,’ says emergency room doctor on the front lines of coronavirus fight

Shortage of medical masks ‘obscene,’ local nurses say as coronavirus hits home

"Santa Rosa nurses on the front lines in the local coronavirus outbreak are preparing for the day they may have to cut surgical scrubs into makeshift masks to protect themselves from contracting the widening infectious disease at work."

Significant numbers of healthcare workers in Europe are infected and unable to care for patients:

Virus Knocks Thousands of Health Workers Out of Action in Europe

5,400 in Spain
490 in France
10 to 15% of the outbreak in Brescia province, Italy...

Nurses in China who work with Covid-19 patients work in a 4 hour shift and Doctors in a 6 hour shift.

This is how a China Nurse wear to go to work with Covid-19 assignment:

As a result, there are almost zero cases of healthcare workers infected for taking care of Covid-19 patients.

How about Irradiating their current mask in a microwave oven...nothings going to survive 1 minute @ 1200 watts of microwave radiation.
