Shocked, simply shocked to see that the administration in power has excluded Tesla Model Y from maxing out in $ rebates. Guess those posters who claimed that PRE-TWITTER the administration was anti-Elon & Tesla were correct despite being piled on. Long live the kluge plug-in SUVs.
Right because those rules only affect Tesla.

Wrong, as extensively discussed in the investor thread. The rules used were established in 2009.

It has been demonstrated repeatedly the administration has nothing against Tesla, except the faux pax of neglecting to invite Elon to a PR event, over which he got butt-hurt and began embracing climate deniers. But don’t let that stop the conspiracy theorizing.

Remember - there is no reason to believe that Elon's actions on Twitter have any impact on demand since any loss in left leaning buyers will be made up by right leaning ones (or so we have been told).

You should seen the shocked look on my face. It's like if someone told me that there is gambling going on in the casino. Shocked I tell you, shocked.
There's every reason to believe so. It would be interesting to see the cancelation numbers since Elon took over Twitter and started allowing white supremacists back on the platform. This is the first time I believe that these kinds of incentives were offered at the end of the year for Tesla. They had a lot of inventory available.

Over on the sane investment thread ~25 folks unanimously disagree with the dismissive conspiracy theory canard.
I like this quote a lot

“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”

But in this case, this one gets it

"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.”

I, for one, wasnt part of the consensus here, if there ever was one.

When Biden left Tesla out from his White House invitation, I said “optics.”

When Biden said GM lead and others still said “optics”, I said “lies.”

When the bill was drafted to give hybrids and Union thousands and others said “This is a huge win gor Tesla”, I said “corruption.”

Now that they are coming after Tesla’s best selling model, I see some people are still choosing to believe we are not being targeted.

Its been getting worse and worse. Just wait till they find a way to screw with the 3.

Won’t defend it but I’m not interested in piling on and lending credence to the revolving door of hit pieces regarding EM and Twitter.

If you care about the stock price and the company, you’ll consider the same and by telling the media and establishment to kick rocks you’re doing yourself and the rest of us investors a favor.

They should probably be more worried about Elon Musk and his antics.
Speaking of which…

Elon Musk teases release of the 'Fauci Files,' following his previous scathing criticism of the medical expert

"Hope you're having a great day 1 2023!," the Twitter CEO tweeted. "One thing's for sure, it won't be boring."

In response to Musk's comment, a user tweeted: "Waiting …… for #FauciFiles." The billionaire responded: "Later this week."

Musk targeted Fauci in early December when he tweeted: "My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci."

On December 13, Fauci said in an interview with the scientific journal Nature that Musk's remarks "stir a lot of hate in people." When asked if his safety was at risk, Fauci said: "Of course." He added that he had "armed federal agents with me all the time."

Big contrast with his energy going into this with Musk hand delivering cars years ago.

Tesla Board - take the wheel please.

Well, that makes it very clear they are outright not paying rent, exactly as the earlier report by NYT was saying. Had people trying to argue otherwise upthread using all types of mental gymnastics to interpret the report otherwise.

Also made it clear they are defaulting on the lease, exactly as I was saying. This is not how lease negotiations are normally done, even though people up thread tried to argue otherwise.
