You might want to check if only original owner can buy it. If so, pay the owner to add it before transferring Tesla Account.

I'm sure some digging will yield more detailed information, but I am also looking into purchasing a used MX and I'm just starting to research 3rd party warranties. Just putting it out there so ranjanG has as many options as possible.

Thanks for the replies..it looks like original warranty transfers with ownership and once you are the beneficiary of original warranty, then you can buy extended warranty. In that case I can purchase extended warranty myself. Is my understanding incorrect?
