I suspect that SpaceX has some camera angles that we don't yet know about. Heck, even NASA was doing fantastic stuff 50 years ago without HD. Sample two minutes of this Saturn V video to get an idea. C'mon Elon, show us the tape with all 27 engines lighting up!

I wonder if there's an angle you could put a camera to view all 27, or even one side of the 3 boosters. Probably need several cameras, like the launch.

Sure, it's easier to make a huge chip or plate of film than a huge CMOS or CCD sensor. But other performance measures are also important... and we're getting off topic.

Interesting to learn they are building a third drone ship to be able to fly FH in an expendable center core and drone ship landing of boosters configuration. Makes sense, as it maximizes the market for FH, while keeping re-usability.

It may also be so they can support higher flight rate ASDS recoveries without having to wait to come back to port off load and go back out. FH or F9 off of LC-39A and another F9 off of SLC-40 just days apart.

Very simple calculation shows it will probably crash into Earth in 100 000 years. Simulation is of course more accurate. Perhaps gravity of Jupiter and Earth will change orbit so that it less likely to hit Earth.

Yes, because they are developing recovery. I don't know why. It is very large. It must be very light and rather strong. Perhaps it is hand made piece of carbon fiber. I imagine automating fairing production could be alternative for recovery and reuse.

I believe it's expensive because It's large and it's at the front of the rocket so it has to be _really_ good.

It needs to be strong. It needs to reliably separate from rocket. It is relatively simply compared to 2. stage. Mass in 2. stage is more harmful than in fairing, because fairing does not go to orbit. Based on this it should cost 1/10 of 2. stage.
