Unless it automatically saves the clip on accident, or the driver honked to the other car to get out of the way, or the driver hit record, any pertinent dashcam footage will probably be long gone...
the cars definitely used to save a short clip from the cameras (in the event of an accident) before dash cam/sentry mode existed so I'd be surprised if they didn't still do that. It was fairly low res and low FPS to fit in the internal memory but along side the full telemetry data it's pretty easy to tell exactly how someone was driving just prior to an accident. I also bet the lease company would have no problem at all authorising the police access to all that data if it reduced red tape.
