Walk away locking is a phone feature ... nothing to do with the card. The card isn't in constant communication with the car once it's been tapped ... it can then be anywhere you like (in another country even!) If you make a point of unlocking the car with the card in the first place then the car should ignore the walkaway feature of the phone ... at least that's how it used to work.
