Fob Low Battery

So I accidentally left key fob in car for 3 weeks. I was awaiting part at SC so I was not driving. I now get a low fob battery alert on display. Check wife's FOB and it still has 3.16v on tester. Check my FOB and it was at 2.83v. so apparently leaving FOB in car runs down the FOB battery? I am guessing some members probably know that, if not, FYI for us new to Tesla. That does not happen on my GM ICE vehicles.

My Toyota manual warns against leaving the fob in proximity to the car to avoid premature battery wear. Unlike my Tesla fobs, the battery is not replaceable.
