Good price for sure, about $12k less than a new 75D with similar specs, adding in private party tax savings. More than makes up for the new performance increase. Definitely got me interested.

Dependent of your location, you'd still have to pay tax on it.
At least in CA, you are required to pay tax to register.

Illinois is capped at $1500 for a private party sales tax vs ~$5100 tax I would pay on a new one. Not sure what other states are.

It's interesting to see the increased value that Tesla has recently put into the S75s and S75Ds. This car was $91,700 earlier this year but can now be built for $85,700 and now also includes smart air suspension.

In New Jersey, electric car sales are exempt from sales tax. I haven't researched it, but I assume this applies to private sales as well?

The seller of this particular Model S is located in NJ and so it's very possible the buyer will also be a NJ resident.
