At least one good thing came out of this, Monterey Shale will be left alone.German news outlet reports 3rd year of consecutive drought in California.
Satellite image of Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe shows that there is not enough snow to supply water for the coming summer.
So tell your ICE driving friends that there might be enough oil, but not enough water to refine it. It takes 2 gal of water to refine 1 gal of fuel.

+1We've lost all notion of seasons here in Calif. There used to be atleast a dry season (roughly May through November) and a wet season (December through April) but, there are only lukewarm and warm periods left now and pretty much all dry. The Governor has already declared a drought and we are severely short on our snow cap and water reserves for the second year in a row.
Makes me wonder if the people who rejected the desalination plant in Huntington Beach are regretting that decision.
