In comparison, per page 21 of https://ir.tesla.com/static-files/b3cf7f5e-546a-4a65-9888-c928b914b529, net loss for 2019 for Tesla was $775 million. And, net loss attributed to common shareholders was $862 million. Per Tesla Q4 2019 Vehicle Production & Deliveries | Tesla, Inc., Tesla delivered ~367.5K vehicles.

The biggest factor in Ford's quarterly financials was their pension fund, right? (Which I assume was relatively one-time.) Then the quality problems at the factory for the new Explorer, which should also have been fixed by now (another one-time issue). They still sell plenty of F150s. It's not clear to me that now is the time to short -- I don't think BEVs have really had a major impact on GM/Ford auto sales at this point. Especially since they're abandoning sedans anyway (so limited impact from Model S/3) and Model X is selling in very limited numbers compared to the SUV market. You'd be banking on Model Y scaling really fast and making its mark on crossover sales. I think the day will come, but it will take time.
