Fremont - Direct Delivery?

Good morning everyone,

I have a scheduled appointment soon for my Model 3. My delivery adviser via email communication as well as a call to the delivery specialist states that my car will be delivered to my home. What I'm not sure of is whether my vehicle will be delivered to me or will it require me to pickup at the Fremont Delivery location because of what it says on my account. Here's what it says in my online account:

Delivery Appointment at Fremont - Direct Delivery
Fremont - Direct Delivery
45500 Fremont Blvd
Fremont, CA 94538

Can you help shed some light on whether this is a home delivery or will I need to pickup at the Delivery Center? I live over 3 hours away from the Delivery Center so it makes a difference. Calls to the advisers provide conflicting information each time I call. Some have said if it was a home delivery my address should show up there instead?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I had a direct delivery to my home this past Thursday, and it also showed the Fremont Delivery Center address on the website. Not my home address.

Awesome, thanks for confirming. Did they deliver via a driver or was it on a flatbed? Some have said it's been delivered via driver and they Uber back. I don't have a delivery center within 3 hours from me so I'm not sure how that works.

It was a Tesla Firmware Engineer who drove it to my place then took Uber back

I’m a 40min drive from the delivery center though for reference. I’m curious whether they’d do the same for 3h away.

I believe you need to be within 25 miles for a Tesla employee to deliver to your home. If you are outside the 25 miles they use a trucking company. It could be all different now with the month end push. Your DA should know, hopefully. I live 4 hours away and picked up at the Fremont delivery center. I would have preferred home delivery but it wasn't an option.

If possible, might be better for you to take delivery at Fremont and drive back home.

Somebody posted a report earlier on how the Tesla dolt delivering the car managed to end up scratch up the underside by going too fast over a speed breaker and even curbing the car (I think).

This was for a delivery less than 5 miles (iirc) away.

I've sent emails to the DA with no response so I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. Calling the delivery number yield different responses. I don't have a problem picking up and driving back home, I actually prefer that.

I was offered direct delivery in SoCal for today and apparently they tried to schedule it out of the Fremont location and figured out I was nowhere close. It's supposedly on a trailer on its way to SoCal for direct delivery for tomorrow now. Hope they get around to scheduling it soon, the SC isn't picking up their phones now it's probably crazy delivery day for them today.

Same for me. So I called them up and they said they are delivering to my home.
