Front trunk will not open

Woke up to this error code now my front trunk will not open. I’ve tried doing a soft and hard reset and error code is still coming up. Any suggestions? I’m out of warranty

Have you tried using the key fob or screen to open it?

Side note....I prefer to call it a froboot

Also try applying some slight pressure to the hood where you press to close it while using the key fob to open it. Has your S been repaired in this area?

yes I have tried to do both. No repairs have been done. Thank you for your suggestions

Can you open the glove box with the button? If not your car might be "stuck" in valet mode but not displaying it?

depending on the age of your S it may have a manual release. my 12 has a manual release in the passenger foot well open it and then try reclosing. I just had to deal with the same problem last week

Nope, I can't tell you that.

So I took the nose cone off and manually got it open. Seems like the metal wire that’s on the spring that attaches to the latch came undone. It’s too cold here in Texas to mess with it any further. I closed the frunk and the warning came off.
