FSD Transfer question Q1 2024

If anyone has taken advantage of the free FSD transfer option this quarter and did not add FSD on the order for the new vehicle, could you please share if it showed on your purchase agreement, order (or anywhere else) after you accepted delivery? Trying to make sure things will be covered under insurance once the transfer completes.

When I took advantage of the FSD transfer promotion last year, I believe you were supposed to include FSD in the new vehicle order but you wouldn’t get charged. I don’t know if that changed for the current promotion, but you should check with Tesla.

I didn’t add FSD to my order. In my reservation, there’s a separate view that shows FSD transfer. I filled in a form and returned to Tesla and they populated that view with the vin number of the old car that FSD is coming from

Sounds like they improved the process since the first promotion last year. At that time, Tesla was also showing some cars as ineligible (including my wife’s Model 3), but they got that resolved.

Thanks everyone. I was able to get it done, but don't like how it doesn't show on any of the paperwork. Working with my insurance agent to make sure it's documented and covered in case something happens to the car.
