FSD upgrade price ?

Is the price to upgrade to FSD expected to increase ? It seems that I can upgrade my 2018 P100D to FSD right now for $6000. I'm trying to figure out how that $6K would propagate towards the future value of my car as far as resale or trade in ?

No crystal ball needed to realize that high tech item will lose value when the next generation arrives.

It's like should you buy Samsung S5 with 16GB or should you pay more for 32GB so you can resell it better?

Now, Samsung S10 comes with a minimum of 128GB!

However, Elon Musk says your FSD car will buck that logic and it will appreciate in future.

I tend to view his prediction with lots of asterisks or fine prints.

It might be true if FSD price will continue to go up significantly and not down like in 2/28/2019.

It might be true if FSD can make money by picking up rides on its own while its owners are busy at work or sleeping at home...
