oh so the 2170 wouldn't be able to reach 300kw? If tesla went 300kw today how much faster would the 2170 be?That’s assuming a 450V peak pack.

Potentially as high as 270 peak on 2170.not much since the charge curve drop off occurs at 30%. maybe a minute or two faster when really low in the pack.

That would be nice but I wouldn’t pitch a fit if they adopted an etron-like curve and went 200KW to 70-75%.so extra 20kw from 7 to 25% or so assuming the curve has to start earlier to hit 250kw at 30%. not life changing amount of time difference.
but on the 4680s i think it'll hold 270kw until deep into the pack. 50% is my hope.

Huh? That’s more like ~15 minutes to charge 150 average real world miles assuming 333wh/mi or 50kWh.you wont see me crying if they hold it that high that deep. we're sub 7 minute per 150 miles of range then.

Closer to 11 minutes based on that if the charging curve is right. 266wh/mi is optimistic even now TBH but who knows maybe the new castings reduce weight enough to make it the new norm.it ends at 200kw. starts at 270kw. and i was mental mathing off 40kw needed.

Maybe if Tesla goes 900V we will see it.can't wait for 500-750kw charging. then this is a non issue.
Even when we still had a permanent ICE vehicle our Sam’s club rarely had a line (Costco did) and their gas sucked anyway. The ethanol free station was close enough so just went there.I supercharge every few days, its not the time to charge(sams club gas took 30 mins anyways), its the frequency since my prius prime went 500 miles lol. Having a faster speed up to say 70% would be great

Costco out here is about 20-25c cheaper than your average Arco/Valero pump (4-5%).
If one is lucky enough to have a home charger, the time saving of not spending 15mns + every Saturday at the Costco pump is significant, even with a few road trips throughout the year. The other point is that spending 30mns at a SC is a lot more enjoyable than lining up at the Costco gas station.
You can't, all Tesla vehicles now have 400V. Future Tesla maybe...can't wait for 500-750kw charging. then this is a non issue.
