I'm going to guess -5% down. My rationale is some will sell. However, some have to realize Elon isn't going to login to his Robinhood account and sell 10% the same way us retail would.

People will front run his sales, algos will sell, the possibility of him selling will cause some fear amidst this euphoria (which will cause some selling), and there may be a gamma squeeze reversal that promotes further downside activity.

So, for everyone thinking this is nothing, it is not nothing. It will cause short-term downside activity of the stock. But it is a long-term buying opportunity for true investors.

I will be loading LEAPs if it reaches down into the 1000s or possibly the 900s. Tesla will still be a multi-trillion $ company in the next 2-3 yrs.

Also, to the folks in the main thread saying this is 4D chess by Elon b/c his options exercises will help Tesla stock price -- ESOPs (employee stock option plans) have a dilutive effect on ordinary shares.

Agreed, it's weird mental gymnastics to justify this tweet as a positive spin. So many ways to make stock options more lucrative for new hires.

Shareholder vote:

1 for 9 split of existing float
Creation of 10% of float to incentivize teams to build robots, accelerate sustainable transport, etc, etc.

Market wouldn't know what to do themselves if they wanted a 4D chess game to play.

Agree, a stock split is absolutely positive for stock price, b/c of the options demand it creates.
