Finally have a VIN: 017xxx. Tesla indicated that it is on the truck from Fremont to Denver Littleton now. Just a matter of time before it is loaded on a truck to NM.

Congrats! That's a got to feel good, for sure. Enjoy the experience of getting that new car.Update. Wasn't on a truck from CA until last week. Car arrived at Littleton last Friday and is waiting for a driver to take it and other New Mexico bound cars south.
How are you getting these detailed updates?Update. Wasn't on a truck from CA until last week. Car arrived at Littleton last Friday and is waiting for a driver to take it and other New Mexico bound cars south.
Man, I am so sorry you are still waiting. I have been offline for a bit (enjoying driving my MY) and thought I'd pop in to hopefully see pics of your MY....only to find that it still hasnt been delivered. Sitting in your seat, I know how frustrating it is. Hopefully once you get it, it will be defect free. I have had a couple of new issues pop up, but still nothing to return the car over. My return date is tomorrow, so I guess I need to decide for sure.Getting info from a combination of the SC and the delivery specialist. The SC was able to verify the status of the car from Fremont to Littleton (including verifying the car was on-site last week). The delivery specialist was able to verify that it was loaded and awaiting a carrier from Littleton to NM.
I have been calling about once every 2-3 days because of the slow progress. Most cars built for Fremont are delivered 4 days after construction. Mine was built on June 19, moved to the port of SF for "extra testing" the following week. Then the VIN was pulled (despite full payment on June 25) on Jun 28 due to "shenanigans" (most likely an attempt to move it to a CA customer to count it as sold last quarter). Reassigned to me on June 30 (because they were not supposed to unassign it in the first place). Those shenanigans likely delayed delivery an additional two weeks. It finally was moved from SF back to Freemont (no one knows why it went to Freemont first) on July 7. Then moved from Freemont to Littleton on July 15/16.
I haven't been able to get a straight answer on delays except that they are having difficulty finding carriers. That is, of course, BS. Given the spreadsheet shows an average of 4 days to delivery from Littleton in June/July.

It better be free of defects. Don't want to have to deal with this again. And there is a possibility of another CA shutdown so that could delay things by a lot longer.
Yeah, I have my first SC visit (and hopefully the only one) on the 30th to deal with all of my defect issues. All in all, I have had 10 issues, two being resolved at delivery or a mobile appointment. However my #1 issue requires SC anyhow so I am asking for the rest to be taken car of then.
Issue #1: Radar not functioning properly.
Issue #2: Coat hooks not functioning correctly.
Issue #3: Alignment of the right rear seat is off. (No fix for this yet from Fremont)
Issue #4: Several rattles while the car is in motion.
Issue #5: "Bursts of Air" sounds.
Issue #6: Side Repeater and Front Camera Colors are off.
Issue #7: Misalignment of frunk lid.
Issue #8: Missing clips on frunk cowling.
Resolved:
Hatchback not latching on close - Resolved on Delivery Day
Wiper Washer not spraying - Resolved with Mobile Visit. Robot in Fremont blamed for not connecting hose to the Y that feeds each wiper.
I am also going to ask them to install Homelink while they are taking it apart next week. I just received it at home yesterday and it doesn't make sense to have the mobile tech come out to do it when they can do it while they have it. At least that is my thinking.
The good news is, they seem to be bending over backwards to address these issues, especially the radar problem. I have the direct dial number and email of the regional Mobile Service Manager and he is working on getting things taken care of quickly. I am getting at least every other day, if not daily, updates on when things are going to be addressed.
The bad news is, I have to take a day off work and drive up to Denver to get it serviced next week. I know, FWP.
Took delivery on Friday. Post: Truck Delivery in New Mexico
CONGRATS!!!!! Finally!
Glad to hear your issues are relatively minor as well.
Check your wiper washer, make sure it delivers fluid when you press the washer button. Mine was not connected at the factory and the Ranger told me there were a batch of cars that the robot forgot to connect.
I think my "Burst of Air" is actually a latch activating, but it doesnt sound like the seats folding or hatchback latch. IDK.
Regardless, congrats. She is a beauty.

My radar for Auto-Pilot is fubar. When I took delivery, I did the standard 70ish miles driving calibration (letting the grey wheel fill up to blue). Once it turned blue meaning I could use AP, I pulled off the interstate, parked got out, let the car lock, got back in and headed down the interstate. At the first chance AP was ready, I engaged and let it do its magic. Less than 1 minute later every AP based alarm told me to take over and shut off AP. I then had a message pop up that said Auto-Pilot and other safety features would be disabled until the next drive. Pulled over, I even did a soft reboot and and the same result. Figured maybe it wasn't full calibrated so I drove it home without AP or any other safety features (Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Braking, Blind Spot, Lane Keep, etc). Got home. Did a full hard reboot, no change. Even powered off the car and let it sleep overnight without charging or anything. What is the radar issue?

Came to it the next morning, started my drive to work and same thing. I logged a mobile support ticket (the fastest choice). They looked at the car remotely and said that the radar in the bumper is not checking in and is showing MIA. However, it is sporadic. Some days it works, other days it doesn't. I have had two full drive to and from work that it worked great. Other drives, it dies within a minute.
Their working theory is the the radar is faulty and needs replacing. It could be a loose wire, not bracketed tightly to the car, obstruction under the bumper blocking the radar. They are just going to replace it all together, just to be safe.
It will be tough getting a Tesla person to say there is a 100 mile/24 hour limit. But many people have reported that when they complained about something they noticed after that period some were denied because it could have been them. Thanks for that detail. This is not an issue I have read about before. I wasn't sure if the radar issue was related to auto-pilot or FSD. At first I thought you meant that your car didn't register your speed, which would obviously be problematic for even a short drive. It's a little concerning that it's sporadic. I wonder what would have happened if you didn't notice it until after 100 miles - i guess that would have just fallen under general warranty as it's not really a build issue.
On a separate note, I am concerned about this 100 mile restriction - what do people do that live more than 100 miles from the pickup? They don't have a chance to look at the next day at home in different natural and garage lighting.
I hope so. Hoping Blue/Black AWD, 19s, FSD is on the near the top of the list for the start up. I don't think I want one of the first cars coming down the line immediately after they get restarted. I would rather wait a week or so. I'm hoping the paint is better since there were rumors they upgraded the paint shop while they were down. BTW, I see hjelmn you are in New Mexico. Where are you taking delivery there since there is no center in NM right now? I'm asking as I'll be retiring there in a few years. Interested in how you deal with owning a Tesla in a place that doesn't have delivery/service centers.
