Grey line in Visualization

What is this grey line extending from my car in the visualization? It turns solid blue during FSD and stays that way even when rainbow road is turned on. It is kinda annoying.

It’s telling you which direction the car will be traveling. You’ll notice it will follow the road if there is a turn. This reassures you that the car will not go over the lines.

The color, as you noticed, changes with FSD. In FSD the line will tell you which direction, for example, the car will go when reaching a T-intersection. In older FSD versions the line would sometimes dance around as the car would show its uncertainty.

Ok, but it is a skinny grey line even when driving around without any kind of assist. In FSD it becomes a darker blue line inside of the overall lighter blue showing the car direction. Within rainbow road it cuts a blue line right down the center. When I see other people showing FSD or rainbow road, they don’t have that skinny line. Just the overall broader blue area showing which way the car is going, or solid rainbow.
