Me too but still waiting for FedI used H&R Block software and received my refund today.
I love tax incentives. We got solar in 2018, so we had an enormous tax credit. We used the huge tax refund to pay off a lot of the solar loan.
The cool part is that the tax credit covered more than our tax liabilities allowed. So we have a rollover of credit for 2019. I also bought a Tesla and installed a charger at home, both of which come with their own tax credits on top of the rollover solar credits. Gonna be another great tax season!
What's your CPA smoking?I know the 2019 refund ended on Jan 1st 2020 and I tried looking online, but my CPA seems to think the $7,500 tax refund will be reinstated in 2020. Has anyone seen or heard anything supporting this speculation of his and a few others? My M3 Performance was ordered 3 weeks ago so hopefully it will arrive in the coming weeks.
Even if the Federal guv'ment did reinstate the credit (there were some efforts made in December), Tesla has already blown through their allotment.I know the 2019 refund ended on Jan 1st 2020 and I tried looking online, but my CPA seems to think the $7,500 tax refund will be reinstated in 2020. SourceIn Washington, new vehicles are subjected to a sales tax of 6.8%. With this tax credit, you'd be getting a rebate on the sales tax you pay up to $2,500 on new electric vehicles that cost less than $45,000.
That is correct. Only solar tax credits roll over (probably because they can be a huge sum). That’s interesting. I did not realize the solar tax credit could be carried over. I know the EV tax credit can not. I have a reservation for a Tesla solar roof and they are telling me it could take 8 months or longer to get it installed. I guess as long as I get it by year end I can still take the 26% credit.
