So this is the perimeter seal in question. The problem was that the foam seal was misaligned during the pack/frame mating process such that the gasket seal wasn’t complete, allowing ingress of sound. The above photo is my perimeter seal and I’ve circled the area where the imprint of the mating is clearly missing.
They did have to drop the pack, flush the coolant, and replace the seal. Dropped the car off at 0645 and picked up at 1700 at PDX SC though the actual booked time was 6 hours.
It’s crazy that a $1 part caused two wasted days (one day diagnostics, one day fix) and thousands of dollars worth of SC time to fix.
