Hiring a Tesla soon in UK, how do I carry over my settings from my existing Tesla? Is it a matter of just placing my keycard on the car's reader?

The owner would need to add you as a driver from the app, then your cloud profile would download. I guess it depends on the owner if they are happy to do that. some Turo hosts would, I would imagine most normal hire companies wouldn't bother and would just give you a key card.

When I last had a courtesy car from Tesla, there was a QR code on the screen, I scanned it, the car appeared in my app and all my settings transferred.

I’m sure I read hertz (? ) were having something similar on their fleets of teslas?

Last summer in Iceland I had to email hertz after pickup, car showed up in my app about 12 hours later.

Yes hired from Hertz, I was so involved in other matters, that I missed the QR code, there was a sticker on the dash, which I think related to this
