Interested in this. Do you need an adapter to use the cables that come with the car to plug into the 32amp socket?

I didn’t get an adapter because I bought a separate 32A commando lead so that I could keep the Tesla supplied one in the car.

Using a commando socket as a permanent solution seems to be frowned upon but it works perfectly for me. My lead is permanently plugged into an interlocked IP67 rated commando socket and I always get the full 32A current. Had I been eligible for the £500 OLEV grant I would have got a standard charger, but as I’m not this has saved me a fair amount of cash.

And no, the socket isn’t wired in according to 18th Regs. My electrician didn’t ask if it was for charging an EV even though it was pretty obvious, but he and I are both happy it’s safe.
