We will see
Btw, our vehicles into China 42% tariff
China vehicles info usa currently 25% tariff
We need to add 17% for China into usa
EU is loosing now as China entered their market without the right protection
Ex ID3 factory build paused

byd is gonna be a good example of what china really is currently... economically politically and innovatively...

potential is severely hindered and continues to be unrealized bc of poor political leadership of the country as a whole...

point in case? skorea, japan, singapore, and of course taiwan...

this is good for america and europe and those nearby countries bc china will always be playin catchup...

BYD again mixing hybrids with full electric car counts
If you actually read the article you'll see sales of more than 130,000 BEV in July, 128,000 in June, so BYD is right there with Tesla in terms of deliveries of BEV.

Then taking into account the great margins BYD is making off of their PHEV the logical conclusion is they will be able to invest enough to scale their manufacturing technologies far past Tesla and overtake them on BEV sales.

For us in rhe USA, pro USA, we are rooting for Tesla, Ford, GM, and Rivian. But BYD is a leading force that copied and mastered everything Tesla has and is doing, to the point where they might get into their own uncharted territory in front.
Amazing times where BYD could end up being the global dominator.

I’ve said this before, we need another 17% tariff on Chinese vehicles to level rhe pricing before China gets here in bigger way.

Btw, remember when Toyota shuned Elon years back. Toyota and Japan are in desperate trouble, let USA not get there.

I agree inside the article there are -accurate- numbers for BEV production that are not meaningfully higher than what Tesla has been doing all year, and which don't match the article's title line that purposely gives the wrong impression. For reference, Tesla Q2 rate was around 140k per month

Agree that BYD is not the BEV leader today, but very soon!

Musk no longer cares; He’s already took our money 🤷🏻‍♂️ while they continue to lose value. Tesla no longer a prestigious name brand.
If he needs more money, he’ll drop the prices once again…

SpaceX is what really matters most to him and AI .😂🤣

PEV manufacturer. Don't include PHEV with EV. BEV is just a way of clarifying EV.

Probably soon. Not as profitable as Tesla though, and I think will have more difficulty getting good profits in premium developed markets.
Evidence suggests that BYD possibly outsold Tesla worldwide on BEVs in July.
FYI - Teslas are full of fossil fuel parts (seats, trims, wheels, wiring insulation, etc, etc) & in the lifecycle produce a large amount of CO2 emissions

1) Never. There is no evidence. India, the most populous country on Earth, wants Tesla. And wants no part of BYD passenger cars. Tesla will keep going down market with Model 2 or Whatever they call the $25k car to first be built in northern Mexico.
2) If they are parts they are not fuel. Carbon that is not burned is not a climate change problem. Anything manufactured can be done with clean renewable energy. This will be increasingly so in the future.

Define "Toyota" being in "desperate trouble". They still seem to be doing ok:
Toyota nearly doubles Q1 profit, China remains challenging
"The world's top-selling automaker said operating profit for the three months through June totalled 1.12 trillion yen ($7.85 billion), an increase of 94% from a year earlier, beating the average 945.22 billion yen profit estimate in a poll of 10 analysts by Refinitiv.

Last year's operating profit was 578.66 billion yen in the first quarter."
