How to route wire out of rear center console?

Often there is an indentation in the edge of the console, or on the lid of the console, to route wires from inside the console (by the cigarette lighter port) to the outside. This allows you to plug in, for instance a radar detector, without pinching the wires. Is there a good way to get a wire from the cigarette lighter port to the outside of the console?

Thanks,
Drew

Yes, check the left side of the console. You can actually route from the cig. lighter, all the way to under the display along the left center console with completely hidden cables. There is an indentation on the left, and then you can shove the cable inside the plastic seam where they meet.

More info please. Any pics? I'd like to use the 12v to get more power to the front compartment where the 2 USB ports are.
