quote from latest v10 Tesla update:

You can also send videos to play in the Tesla Theater from you mobile phone for supported theater sources. Simply "Share" the Video Link with the Tesla mobile app while your car is parked.

How does this work in practice?

I have several .mp4 videos that play on my Android phone.
I also have the Tesla mobile app installed on my Android phone.

How do I "share" the video on my phone via the Tesla mobile app, so that it plays through the Tesla Theater?
I can't find a sharing link in the Tesla mobile app? :(

I think you misunderstood what the statement is saying. You can "share" a video to the Tesla Theater in the same sense that you can "share" a map location to your NAV system. I.e. you would go into your phone, bring up YouTube, Netflix or Hulu, select a video you want to play on the Tesla, and then use the "Share" button to "share" it with the Tesla app, and the selected video will play on the Tesla Theater screen. It's more of a "control" feature, not an actual video upload or "cast" (although that would be nice).

Worked perfectly this time. Result of an update?

Opened YouTube and shared to tesla app. The video popped up on the tesla screen. Assuming it's using my home wireless.

That's how I expected it to work. I've tried a few times though and it never has. What version are you running on the car and in the app?
