Good morning - Technical help requested... So, I added a "slave" to my gen 2 HPWC. The master is fed by a 60 amp circuit (48A charging). Both the Slave and Master HPWC's are fed with 4AWG cable (overkill, yes). Slave rotary switch is on "F" and the master is on "9" (60 amps). Communication cable is 18AWG shielded that is grounded on both ends at the ground block. Junction box connections are made with high end Polaris Multitaps.

Prior to adding the "slave," I was always able to charge at 48A, as reported on the car's main screen. Now, the max I can get on either the slave or master is 39A when charging using just one of the HPWCs. What gives?

IIRC, Gen2's would reserve 8 amps for each shared charger, whether or not it is actually being used. I'm having trouble finding a guide saying that, though. It doesn't explain your 39 vs 40 amps, either.
Thanks! Please let me know if you find any documentation. Seems odd that the master won't charge at the full 48A... Since I ran 4 AWG cable, I can easily just the circuit up to 70A to see what that does (yes, I will have to change the rotary setting in the master to see 70A as well)
