HPWC making a loud click when starting to charge

My HPWC makes a loud 'tock', like a relay engaging every time I start charging the car, anyone else have this ? Or Am I better to call Tesla ?

Yes, it's a relay / contactor engaging. Until it turns on, there's no power going to the connector. Every EVSE is like this, some just have louder contactors than others.

That's the whole point of the HPWC. It's a smart relay.

The HCWC is loud because it is capable of delivering 80amps not just the 32 your UMC can, much heavier duty hardware inside.

The handle has no power until its plugged in and the car asks for it. And it will kill power when you unlock the handle from the car.

The wall connector is just a fancy extension cord to make it very safe even if its raining.
