I agree

Tokyo - Kyoto bullet train 320 miles, built 1964 (newer bullet train routes have faster trains) 2h17m, trains run approx 10 minute intervals, £100

London - Edinburgh British Rail 400 miles 4h20m - 5h40m , 2 per hour, £151

Disappointing

Yeah always FUD.
Probably the same video somewhere about Tesla and BEVs.

The establishment can raise any number of reasons why it won't work, that's why Elon is a visionary entrepreneur and makes disruptive things happen, even if in this instance he only set the ball rolling for others to pick up and run with. (You want to bet he won't pick up one of the Hyperloop companies at some point, embed it into Tesla ethos and forge ahead with an even more holistic solution).

imho only a matter of time before you drive onto a sled in your Tesla, and thence onto a hyperloop carriage; exit the Hyperloop at your destination city and travel by tunnel to the local area and finish off the journey on surface streets, with your vehicle then heading off on its own to local mass storage and charging/energy storage facility which actively manages all the vehicles charge to balance load vs demand, ready to be summoned for your next trip. Or if you dont want to own then Tesla Car Share.

It's all coming and the sooner the better for the environment and us all.
