Intermittent loud screeching coming from right front wheel

On my 2013 Model S (P85, 140K miles) I am getting an intermittent loud screech/squeal which seems to be coming from the front right wheel. It seems to occur mainly in the 25-60 MPH range and, oddly, immediately goes away when I apply the brakes. Also, oddly, it goes away when I veer left and seems to occur more often when I veer right.
I'm way out of warranty and would like some idea as to what might be the cause of this issue. Also, does everything need to go through Tesla repair shops or or there non-Tesla (cheaper) alternatives for this kind of thing? Thanks.

Worn brake pads screech. Easy to check too.

Could also be a pebble stuck in your brakes. Try backing up and maybe turning back and forth a little while backing up to see if that dislodges it.

pebble or road debris. It will kick out eventually..

Saw a previous thread where there was an apparently useless bolt that worked its way out and was rubbing against the wheel... anyone got a link to that?

My hub was bad. I got one off Ebay. Took couple hours to change. Needed 18mm socket.
I didn't hear it, my buddy heard it in his driveway.

So you mean the bearing in the hub?

Yes, they are are standard hubs. Oh, new one fits all S. Looks funny cause it has hole for front shaft.
