Is it a Froot?

I was watching a video of a Model-3 in the UK, and it got me wondering.
In North America, that place where the engine would be in most cars(!) we call a Front Trunk, but often a "Frunk".
So, in the UK call the front boot a "froot"? Or what?

I call it a froot but others a frunk, but they are obviously wrong.

I posited the same thing back in Aug 2018 Tesla Model 3 Moments and “froot” was even mentioned as early as Apr 2016 Elon tweet re: lack of instrument cluster, but it doesn’t seem to have caught on yet. Only 9 posts mention it in all of TMC and 5 of them are in this thread! (Now 6 of 10...)

Given that the car is from the US, I think it would be easiest to respect the original term of “front trunk”, “frunk”.

Besides, it’s not really big enough to be a boot, more a shoe.

I might stop short of calling the front lid the “hood”, as that’s just confusing when it’s not a convertible!
