Is radar really turned off? Not so sure anymore

Is it radar or the cameras or super smart and powerful DOJO that fail to acknowledge the giant garage wall inside my garage (with garage door fully open) when I get into my refresh S that is facing the all, and yet it wants to go into drive vs reverse?

But yet..."NYC to LA with no human input" by 2017...ok. LOL
