So I decided to buy the Key Fob for the Model 3. $150 is not bad when you compare it to the cost of a key from other brands. However the lack of passive entry is really disappointing. I rent my car out on Turo and the feedback I've gotten on the key has been positive. Some of my rentals have been other owners on vacation and they were definitely happy they didn't have to use the cards. Having said that if I wasn't renting the car out I would just use my phone.
