June Orders: Anyone Still Waiting?

I'm curious if there are any people out there with June or earlier orders that have not received their car?

I'm still waiting: Feb reservation, June 30 order. Delivery was supposed to happen on Nov-5. I'm being told that my car is sitting in the Chicago transport hub for three weeks. Nobody seems to know why.

It's frustrating to hear of people who ordered in Oct/Nov getting their cars in two or three weeks.

Six reschedules! What is their excuse? Did you have to refinance? My MVPA was pulled last week and I started to panic, then the local SC said it was because my Tesla financing was expiring. I see that the bank pulled my credit report again.

Tesla really really needs to fix their east cost logistics.

Reserved online 1st day
confirmed 4/30 AWD
upgraded to p3d+ 6/30
multiple delivery delays
no vin has ever been assigned

Just cancelled my order last night for a full refund ($3500). The excitement has worn off and bas given me more time to think and realize a model S is best for me.

Usually the reason was that there was no car. When I would call and actually get through either service center or main line (if I get through) the representative would say something along the lines of "Hmm, you have no VIN or car assigned, let me talk to my team about this and get back to you" So a few hours later I would get another delivery date. I think it was the 3rd or 4th time I actually got a VIN and an MVPA on the account, but that disappeared after a few days. Of course by then my approval expired and that might have triggered it to disappear especially they pulled my credit without telling me, which resulted in a rejection since I lock all my credit accounts, which resulted in another rescheduling after I unlocked everything and got another approval.

This time I'm scheduled for 11/23 and I do have a VIN but not on my account so we'll see.

Still waiting??? Yikes.

I saw on another forum there is some big hold up in Chicago...but I didn't keep reading but if I see it again I'll link. I also saw a picture of a semi that caught fire and had at least one partially melted Tesla on the back. Somewhere, somehow, someone is missing that car too.

In any case, that totally sucks and I wonder what the heck is going on there. My build is just like yours and going by planned delivery dates (mine was 10/31) might be from the same litter...and all I've found wrong is the missing bumper liner clips. I hope yours is the same, but the frustration levels must be huge for you.

I'm still waiting reserved in 5/1 ordered 6/30 but got contacted today. 3 IDA's 1 ISA and one cancelled delivery date by tesla of 11/4. Just rescheduled for Monday 11/19. Apparently they had me still as home delivery even though I told my ISA multiple times I wanted to pick up at Mt Kisco. Funny thing is DA said to me they don't like keeping cars at the delivery location longer than 7 days. Even though I have been told multiple times my car was at Mt Kisco going back about 3 weeks now.

Wow, sorry to hear about your problems. My wife has been asking why we didn't get a Model S. Maybe not too late for me!
Good luck

The ridiculous aspect of this is that whomever at Tesla know the real issue doesn't communicate it to the SCs. I believe they are in the dark as much as we are.

Gotta ask: How does your chill greyhound doggie like your M3?

Yes, I'm still waiting. Here's my timeline:

6/28: Ordered LR-AWD w/ Black Interior
7/24: Changed to White Interior
9/23: Rejected delivery at Marina del Rey due to many paint defects
9/28: Home delivery scheduled, vehicle hasn't arrived, rescheduled for 9/29
9/29: Home delivery scheduled, vehicle hasn't arrived, rescheduled for 9/30
9/30: Home delivery scheduled, vehicle hasn't arrive, VIN disappeared from account
11/11: Costa Mesa delivery scheduled even though I requested Marina del Rey when I ordered. Delivery rescheduled to 11/17 because delivery center found pencil tip sized chip on hood and needs to get it touched up. Delivery center said the car looks really good otherwise and he couldn't find any paint nibs.
11/17: My current delivery appointment. Hope the car really has no paint nibs like I was told.

The ISA declined my request to perform an extra detailed inspection before the car gets sent down to Southern California and also declined my request for two cars to be sent so I can pick the best of two.

It seems all the problems are from Mass down to VA.

Anyway we should form a support group...

I picked up in Richmond, VA, so perhaps that was south enough. Or, the car cleared Chicago in the knick of time (though it did get held an extra day on it's truck in Baltimore apparently).

I haven't taken him for a ride yet. He generally hates going in a car so I haven't made him go yet.

I was going to see how he did just standing on the floor as there's no drive train hump to worry about, but the front seats aren't super upright so he'd probably jump onto the seats. So, we have a hammock contraption to try. He will give me pathetic and suffering eyes, but perhaps some grilled Chik-Fil-A nuggets will change his mind :D.

If you haven’t been assigned a vin yet it shouldn’t be a problem.
Order and Delivery - Model 3

Use the email in that link (ASAP before a vin is given) and email from the model 3 order that’s associated with it. I followed up with a call to Tesla the following day to confirm they got my email and they did. They then sent me a folllow up email requesting my name, addrsss and reason for cancellation and said check will be coming 30-45 days.

@webdbbt @jntn2002 - Hang in there!

First day line waiter
Ordered P3D+ in June

No news, updates, apologies, call-backs, emails, nothing. I've owned two terrific Teslas already, so I wasn't too concerned, but my wife was about to give up.

Monday, at 8pm (almost didn't pick up the phone - thought it was a telemarketer) I received a call from my Delivery Advisor in Vegas, who said our car was in Raleigh. He scheduled a delivery for yesterday. It was PERFECT!!! We are head over heels in love with our new addition. I'm a little annoyed because my wife's car is quicker than mine, but I'll live ;)

My advice: one day your phone ring and there will be a Delivery Advisor on the other end. The longer you stare at the phone, the sooner he'll call - worked for me ;)

Good luck!

Congrats on getting your car but I think it's awful that a loyal customer like yourself had such a long wait--especially when you're getting a fully optioned car.

In the last week I've talked with both my Delivery Advisor and the Delivery Specialist(s) at the service center. They've got no information to give.

I'm sure the car will be great once it arrives. We're getting our first wintery mix today; I can't wait to try out the AWD in lousy conditions.
