Is this Ausgrid’s first branded kerbside charger?

The article below in 2022 suggested they would build up to 30,000 of these… although the article was about an EVX charger not Ausgrid branded 🤔.

I still think it’s dumb to install a polecharger that has only one port on it. So that means 👎 Ausgrid and Intellihub and 👍 EVX.

Ha I’m going to print that article out and send it to my council.

While not pole-mounted, on a random Sunday-morning internet trawl, I note that Sydney’s Inner West Council has approved 19 kerbside charging applications from residents this quarter, on top of 12 the quarter prior. This is to legally run a cable across the footpath, under a trip protection cover, to charge an EV parked on the street. The mechanism is a “Footpath Occupation Licence”, the same as what cafes use to permit tables and chairs on the footpath. Although my understanding is that EV drivers are not charged a fee for their FOL.

Is anyone aware of any other Council in the country doing this?
