Along with confirmation of my order reservation, there was a nice little surprise. . .

That's pretty cool. It looks big.

Tony what number did you get? Did you go for the Premium buyer or bump-city?

April huh? Does that give Tesla enough time to get the bugs out of model one-point-oh?

The photo is larger than life, at least on my monitor. It's not that big, but it's surprisingly detailed. I can peer into it and see the little shifter knob, motor, things like that.

It's a premium reservation. I was never assigned any number.

Now here's what's funny. . . At the time when I configured the car and faxed in my reservation, the website was saying delivery is estimated for March 2008. At the time when I got the email confirmation back, it said estimated deliver in April 2008. When FedEx brought the papers and the paperweight, the enclosed letter said mine is estimated for May 2008. So it would appear that the schedule has already slipped two months. :(

Tony, you are a lucky man :)

Schedule slip ain't necessary due to bug hunt. You said you haven't got a number. Maybe just some very high profile buyers came along with their orders and Tesla did their best to book them in. Not very fair to you, but bussiness.

On the other hand, maybe some supply delivery got postponed or Lotus changed their Elise production schedule a liltle. Possibilities abound.

Nice job on the photo. Maybe it's my old camera, but I had a bitch of a time photographing that thing.

I knew it would be tough to photograph, so I made preparations. I put it on a table right under a table lamp, and put the black cardboard box behind it to make a dark background. Then I put my camera on a tripod with a 50mm (short tele) lens and got as close up as I could while still keeping it in focus.

The camera was my Pentax K100D which I got not too long ago and am very happy with.

No discussion about it at our house. My husband gets the Roadster, and I have to wait for the WhiteStar. The ony negotiation will be what number WhiteStar I get off the line.

    The paperweight

Do all buyers get these, or just the signature 100?

I got one and am not a signature 100. Not sure about the 2009 folks.

Same thing here. It's very pretty when uplit by LEDs.
