For cold weather, I use a pair of lightweight gloves from Costco - very inexpensive and they work great.
Leather Touchscreen Gloves - Mujjo
Those are the highest quality gloves I've found that are fully touchscreen compatible (meaning you can use any finger, your knuckles, any part of the glove works with the touchscreen part).

Not only too warm; but too expensive. Looking for light weight fabric gloves
I bought a $10 pair a couple years ago from Uniqlo.

I keep a microfiber cloth in the center console and wipe it down every few days.
Also, I have a glass screen protector that makes it really easy to clean.
