Long hold functionality change

Okay, am I crazy? In the past, a long hold on the to the left or the right on the left thumbwheel would scrub through the track you're listening to. Now it seems it will cycle through inputs and favorites.

At firs,t I thought this was a bug. Now I kind of like the change because you don't have to do have a million taps to switch inputs.

Anyone know when they made this change?

Hmm, never knew this. I've just used the right click to skip to the next track. I'll give this a try and see what it does.

I’ve recently noticed this, too. Guess it’s indeed a feature, not a bug.

LOL, the first time I did it, I immediately reported it as a bug. Then when I did it in reverse today I finally realized it was a feature. I felt bad for submitting the bug.

Then I realized they it's their own fault because they should include more details in their release notes.

Then I realized that I produce release notes for my company and often don't include a lot of what we changed... I get it.

As I will have to try the long hold on that wheel today after work (never did it before ) , love finding out new things to try LOL \m/

Is there any way to scrub then? I feel like they should at least give us this if they’re not going to implement CarPlay or AA.

Just the highly distracting and way to close to other buttons dragging the dot along the line on the screen...

I tried this yesterday and a long press to the right switched from iPhone to FM and then wouldn't switch to any other source regardless of left or right long press...shrug.

What software version? Admiditly I don't think I've ever used the FM radio in this car so I wonder if it's a bug.

Long pressing always would cycle through favorites since at least May 2018 (when I got the car). It's been buggy though, for a number of software versions it would crash/freeze the whole media player UI.
