Those emojis accurately represent the range of emotions I feel on a daily basis when I spend too long contemplating my delivery...
I ended up calling the Fremont factory directly and speaking with Sales. They said that the newly assigned VIN is still a pre-production, but there's no additional info about when the production will occur. He did say that he was quite confident delivery would happen before the end of the year, even here in MN.
is it a known thing that VINs change somewhere along the way for these stealth performance cars?
if i may ask, what number did you call and/or how did you navigate the phone tree? every time i call tesla it seems that my call gets routed to some random place; called the # for the walnut creek showroom and ended up talking to a guy in a completely different city... and when i called the office # listed for my SA it was a dead end. given that experience i don't think i can figure out how to talk to someone in fremont on my own!
same exact problem, might have to skip my winter travel plans if they can't deliver it before the 20th. i was told they would but from my reading here it really seems like this is going to happen at the end of the month, if at all.

Had me worried for a minute as mine is 627xxx... but I see at least a few 622xxx and 627xxx on the spreadsheet showing as delivered already.
Dang.. and here I was really getting my hopes up.
The spreadsheet appears to have a lot of 601xxx VINs scheduled for delivery (both higher and lower than my new one) so I was really hoping

My car, picked up in San Francisco on 12/4 is 601XXX. It has a build date of 11/2019. I think VINs are very non-sequential and do not indicate much of anything.
it is 6022xx. i don't have an MVPA. i might have had one before the switch, i am not sure now.
After recently going to the local group orientation, I learned that you won't see anything in the phone app until you take delivery.

They literally key you in and activate your mobile app after you sign the purchase agreement and hand over payment.
They'll ask you to login on their computer with your username and password, then they'll make sure your phone app is loaded and showing your vehicle.
I have two phones I use an android and an iPhone and I order the ios version better...
Plus the iPhone can use "stats"

I've read some saying they got activation the day before delivery.
Really, all somebody needs to do is to turn mobile access to "on". Sometimes they do this when the car is being detailed. When I took delivery, I didn't have access. I asked the delivery specialist, he turned on mobile access on the touchscreen and I instantly had connection with my phone.

Gave it its first wash tonight and met up with another forum member to swap my wood dash for a white one. Then stopped by LACMA for a quick shot. Love it! It feels like I'm driving for free haha

You doing any coating and/or PPF?
Mine is spending the night at a detailer shop getting a ceramic coating. It’s torture not having the car for two whole days!
I had Xpel Ultimate Plus installed for the front facing parts (bumper, fogs, headlights, mirrors, rear quarter, trunk guard, and front rocker) the day after I got it. Also tinted the whole car with Xpel CR+ including windshield. I washed it with a ceramic wash and will probably wipe it down this weekend with Mother's CMX ceramic to coat it.
Finally I too got the magic text saying my vehicle is ready, and asked to schedule an appointment this Thursday or Friday. Will be picking up the vehicle from Fremont, CA
