That’s some bull because I just purchasedI called my sales rep to ask about the VINs showing up in the online inventory in my area. He says they're all pre-production VINs and aren't actually at the stores.

How do you see that? I'm not seeing an indication of either on the inventory page. Some clearly show pre-production. Some show at the stores...
See attached pic..How do you see that? I'm not seeing an indication of either on the inventory page.
Thank you. Wasn't seeing it because all of the ones listed in my area indicate they're at the store (even though they're showing as pre-production on Tesla's end).See attached pic..
I'm assuming all of these VINs are surplus and there are additional vehicles headed toward the area that will eventually be assigned to our reservations?
So you all don’t think this is at the store?
You don't have to cancel. You can call your rep and have them attach a different vehicle to your order. Its basically a vin swapHmmm there is one in inventory 6 hours away. Not really sure I want to go through the hassle of cancelling my existing order given how difficult everything else has been.
Just spoke to my SR. Gave her 3 VINs showing as having the same config as my order and available at the two local showrooms. As noted above, these are all in pre-production. When I asked whether there is any benefit to getting my reservation switched to one of these new VINs, my SR said no and that she'd suggest keeping things as is. My original order date was 1/27 for LR AWD white with 18" wheels. Latest text message received yesterday said 3-5 weeks.
Yea - website still shows the original range of weeks for me (Received a text today saying 2-5 weeks. The text that I received on 2/6/20 also said 2-5 weeks...
Website still says 5-7 weeks from order date.
And take the $100 to buy what*sugar* like this really make you wonder if your making the right decision? How can a company this successful be this unorganized about production and delivery? Maybe it’s time to just take the $100 loss and run!!!
This is the exact message I got from my SA as wellBisedogg; that lines up exactly with what my Houston based SR told me. At least they are consistent.
I ordered 1/24, same config as yours. Will be interesting to see if our cars arrive that same time.
