Manual Charger Release Not Working

I had my charger port replaced a few weeks ago because it would not completely unlock.

I’m going on a trip this week and I was reading a bunch of stuff to double check before leaving.

For example, I checked the manual door open on the driver/passenger side (they both work).

I went to test the manual charger release pull tab (in the trunk) and nothing happens.

I just scheduled an appointment, but the earliest available isn’t until AFTER our trip.

Has anyone else had an issue with the manual release not working? Is it possible for Tesla to fix before my trail?

Worth trying in case you need the manual release during your trip.

There were post that Mobile Service can fix it. Better if you have an appointment at Service Center - they would have more resource there to fix your issue.

I had Mobile Service trouble shoot charging issues, including the manual release mechanism, when I my High Voltage Battery did not want to charge and keep having to manually release the Wall Connector since the "Tesla" light kept on "red". The root of my problem was the HV Battery Contactor, not the manual release - which was later fixed at a service center.

What were you expecting to do that it didn't?
It's not a port door opener, it only pulls the pin to allow the charging cable to be released

Update! Took it to Tesla and the piece that’s supposed to clip inside the trunk/charger wasn’t connected...so I was basically just pulling on string and nothing happened.

They popped it in and now everything works.

Quick question, on the right side of the trunk above the light area, can anyone take a picture of their wire and see if it’s showing or pushed back? And can anyone get a picture through the grate to see if the wire is exposed?
