If I am generous, I assume they misunderstood the problem. Or they did not believe what we were telling them.
At least here they did take the car and look at it. Which I never expected would make any difference.
But I also had other issues related to phone call history. "Recent calls", that may have been related to the OS being clogged up.
A hard reset would explain that and I can imagine a scenario where the traffic data was hitting a limit and the clean up routines were not keeping up. Just a theory.
Be good for someone to try the firmware update first. Then the hard reset. See which clears it for them.
