Middle row seats

I really wish the middle row folded flat. Has anyone tried to remove the row? Less room in the X than there was in the S.

Maybe someday Tesla will offer a 4-seat configuration (two front, two "third" row, nothing in the middle). But that's as likely as Tesla adding folding seats to the second row: don't count on it.

A Model X with only front seats and third row, and a whole lotta space in between, would look just super weird.

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Tesla must come out with some kind of folding 2nd-row seat. It will help in converting additional sales. Maybe once existing issues (e.g. latches, 3rd row seats, etc.) are sorted out.

I don't think so. It's exactly what my Odyssey looks like now, except the third row is usually down. When we take passengers we call it "the limo ride". Lots of room for golf clubs and push carts.

Have you tried moving the middle seats all the way forward? That provides a lot of extra room.
