mobile charger cable in extreme cold - bending?

hey guys. I have my model 3 since November and it seems over the past month my charging cable no longer folds up in a circle once i remove it from the car after charging. I have a garage where i charge my car nightly in but the temps where i live in CT have been all over the map with lows from -5 to today where its almost 50. The cable when i roll it up appears to have kinks in it ever 6 inches or so and if i run my hand over the cable i can feel what appears to be small bumps every few feet. No breaks in the cable or any damage i can see and it charges fine and i do use it nightly. Is this normal to have the mobile connector cable warp when its really cold?

I have included a pic of the cable coming from the wall connector, you can see it is not exactly straight anymore but has bends in it ever few in inches.

thanks. Doug
